Reiki Therapy


Reiki therapy (a Japanese term meaning “universal (Rei) energy (ki)”) is a spiritual energy practice originating in Japan. It does not require any religious belief system to practice or receive Reiki, only an openness to the experience is needed.

It is described as a deeply relaxing, effortlessly meditative experience. It places the mind and body into a state of restful alertness. I will serve as a channel or vessel, simply allowing the energy to flow through me to wherever your being most needs it.

While I will direct the energy based on your needs that day, Reiki is intelligent and flows wherever it will do the most good.

NOTE: This therapy can be administered with either gentle touch or no touch, based on your preference!
It is also available virtually (yes, really!), and the space in which you stay during the session must be free of noise and distractions/interruptions.

Regular Reiki therapy recipients report positive effects immediately following and in the days after their session, including: improved sleep quality, better pain management, improved mood, decreased anxiety about daily stressors, a release of stuck emotions, nervous system calibration, and a deep sense of inner peace. (Effects are amplified with ongoing sessions, the frequency is based on the existing conditions and desired outcome).

Q: What are the benefits of Reiki biofield therapy?

A: Studies (linked below) have shown that biofield therapy provides an array of positive physiological and emotional health benefits, including:

Q: Who do you work with?

A: I am open to offering Reiki therapy to people of all backgrounds, cultures, lifestyles, and abilities. All ages are welcome, and I offer pet Reiki as well!

We will do an intake video call, or meet in person (if time and proximity allow), to get to know each other, and to ensure that your needs align with my offerings.


Q: Where do you conduct cuddle therapy sessions?

A: I offer in-call sessions, to be held at my therapy studio in Poway, CA. This studio is set up specifically for conscious community and therapeutic sessions, and is equipped with a restroom and a selection of beverages like water and tea. There is ample parking and there is a ramp walkway.  

Each session is tailored to your unique needs, and will incorporate the following:

* An introductory conversation in which we assess where you are starting. You can share what you are working to release, or any bodily discomfort or pain, so I can guide the energy to go to these areas. In your first session, I’ll review my typical hand positions, and we’ll go over the various options for the session. Then, we’ll do a brief grounding meditation to help your mind and body ground into the moment.
(10-15 minutes)

* The Reiki send - this portion will incorporate burning of sage and palo santo, as well as other aromatherapies to help you be centered (as desired). You will be provided with, or you may bring, an eye cover, and you’re welcome to bring blankets and pillows for your own comfort! These will also be available for your comfort. (30 minutes or more)

* The post-therapy recap - this is a time for your body to slowly come out of the deep relaxation mode of the session, and we’ll discuss any insights that came through during the session. We’ll also review post-session considerations. (appx 10 minutes)


DURATION

Reiki sessions are typically between 1 to 2 hours per session. It is recommended to start with a 1-hour session, to allow us to get acquainted and discuss your goals. I will advise on the number of sessions I recommend based on your personal needs.
